Vidtek Associates was founded in 1989 to support the Bay Area Hi-Tech companies in the field of Industrial Video Imaging principally providing security systems to government and public and private corporate clients. Vidtek Associates began in the industrial video service field and later expanded to system design and installation.

Vidtek can include the Chevron Corporation and the University of California - San Francisco amongst its first customers.



In 1990, Sony Corporation authorized Vidtek to support its line of CCTV products for the West Coast. This go-ahead put Vidtek in direct contact to support major security companies in the area. In 1993 Sony Image Sensing Division additionally authorized Vidtek as the sole service center in the United States to support their product line.



In 1996, Vidtek expanded its line of services to system design and installation of CCTV and Card Access Control Systems. Clients include BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), VA Hospitals (Northern California), and Intel Corporation.



In addition to its headquarters in San Jose, California, Vidtek Associates maintains satellite offices in Sacramento, California and Reno, Nevada, and a network of 20 system integrator business partners manage installations throughout the U.S. Vidtek Associates designs, installs and services industrial video systems including CCTV, Image Sensing, Digital Signage and Medical Video Imaging worldwide in both the private and government sectors. Vidtek Associates is also a distributor of quality security products and provider of quality services with years of valuable client relationship with the most reasonable prices available.
