Middle TN Clean Fuels is a voluntary program of the U.S. Department of Energy for the expansion of the use of alternatives to gasoline and diesel fuel, acceleration of the use of alternative fuel vehicles and the building of local refueling infrastructure for these vehicles.

Middle TN Clean Fuels is the principal coordinating point for Alternative Fuel (AF) and Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) activities in Middle Tennessee. Middle TN Clean Fuels is a non-profit membership-based organization of federal, state, and local agencies, public interest groups, alternative fuel vehicle manufacturers and dealers, alternative fuel producers and distributors, and public/private fleets. These groups work together in a coordinated effort to promote the purchase and use of Alternative Fuels and Alternative Fuel Vehicles to create a sustainable market in Middle Tennessee.

Middle TN Clean Fuels' primary goals are to expand both the use of vehicles powered by alternative fuels and the availability of AFV refueling infrastructure in the State. These expansions will increase domestic energy security, enhance economic development and improve air quality in Middle Tennessee.

Middle TN Clean Fuels has made significant strides toward creating a sustainable alternative fuels market in Middle Tennessee. Our members represent a wide array of concerns, commitments, missions and industries.
