J&L Electric began business in 1972 by Jack Mortenson. He specialized in service and installations of farm shops, pivots and pumps. A family run business, Jack taught his sons, Ty and Bret Taylor, early on the importance of hard work, customer service and a job well done. In the early 1980's, the business branched out into industrial and commercial work. After returning from college, Ty and Bret trained as apprentices and then became journeymen. Jack was proud of "his boys" and he knew they were ambitious and eager to take J&L Electric to another level.

In May of 2003, Ty and Bret Taylor became owners of J&L Electric. Since the purchase of their business, they continue to grow, increasing their productivity, service and staff. Ty and Bret are trained professionals, always looking for better ways to serve their customers.

J&L Electric of Idaho is a full service electrical contractor. Our management staff comprises 125+ of years experience in the electrical field. We are a fully insured and licensed contractor. We perform work throughout the state of Idaho.
