The Darlington Christian Church was formed in 1853 and is part of the Stone-Campbell Movement (aka Restoration or 19th Century Reformation) within the Church of Jesus Christ. For over 200 years, this Movement has pleaded for the unity of God's people under the singular banner of Christ and His Word. We are not the only Christians, but we desire to be Christians only. We maintain the Bible is God's inspired Word and our only standard for faith and practice. The Lord's Supper is a part of our weekly worship each Sunday and is open to all believers in Jesus as the Christ. We observe baptism by immersion for the repentant confessor of faith in Christ. We are not perfect saints; we are forgiven sinners growing in God's grace to spiritual maturity.
